OLD BUSINESS:
Election Update
Lynn reported that no-one has sent in emails regarding a desire to be on the board.
Jeff brought up the fact that the By-Laws require that the Election Committee provide a plan.
There was discussion as to how to vote anonymously.

The Board agreed to continue to promote the election, and to tell everyone about the open positions. If we are still on zoom in December, then Max will set us up with an anonymous voting poll on line during the meeting.
A motion was made by Lynn for Max to set the voting system.
The motion was seconded by Kathy
The motion carried

Hollywood Herald Online Version:

Max reported on the version of the newsletter that will be online.

Halloween Decorating Contest:

Lynn reported that she, Kathy and Debbie have volunteered to judge the Halloween Decorating contest. The deadline to have decorations completed is the 22nd. There was discussion about the prizes. It was decided to have three winners and to award each winner with a $20.00 gift certificate from BBQ & Burgers.
Lynn made the motion to purchase the gift certificates.
Debbie seconded the motion.
The motion carried

Hollywood Park Magnets:

Lynn will follow up tomorrow to find out status of magnets.

Insurance Update:

Lynn and Jeff reported on the meeting with the Insurance Agent. We learned that our liability insurance does cover all Board members when we participate in an event, but not the volunteers. So, they would not be covered when they put the Holiday bows on the lamp posts. It does cover us for the 4th of July Parade as long as we get a permit. It also covers us, and guests at other locations as long as we let the insurance company know in advance the address of the meeting and/or event.
We can also get an endorsement for an event with Alcohol, if we want.

Goals:

Max suggested that we each write down three goals that we would like to see for next year.

NEW BUSINESS:
Expired Business Membership Idea
Jannelle reported that there were several businesses that did not renew their memberships. It was suggested that, if businesses renew their membership now, they would be included in the December newsletter. It was recommended

that we promote the new format of the newsletter being on line, as a way to get more businesses to join.

Jeff mentioned that Irene asked if he would post something on MailChimp regarding a CommuniTree event.

As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:08PM

Respectfully submitted, Lynn Humphries Secretary HPNA
