National Night Out 2016

NNO SliderNational Night Out (NNO) is Tuesday, August 2nd this year and we can’t wait to get out in our neighborhood and meet all of our fabulous neighbors.

What is NNO you ask?! National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. The National Night Out program culminates annually on the first Tuesday of August and neighbors participate across thousands of communities from all 50 states. Of course Hollywood Park is proud to be a part of this annual tradition.

Every year we put together a map of homes that volunteer in the neighborhood to be “open” or host homes in our community. For people that aren’t hosting you are encouraged to stroll the neighborhood, chat with neighbors you already know and meet new ones in the spirit of NNO. Basically it is a strolling  neighborhood party hop!

In the past some host homes have offered strolling neighbors a tasty treat; such as a root beer float, pulled pork sliders, ice cream, lemonade/refreshments to name a few. Hosts are not obligated to provide anything other than friendliness, but of course the amazing people of our Hollywood Park never cease to amaze us with their generosity!

Be sure to mark your calendars for August 2nd this Summer to meet all the fantastic people out and about for National Night Out!

If you would like to be a host house this year please email hpna95822@gamil.com to be added to the NNO map.
