Archives: Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 6:34PM

Board Members Present: Debbie Keller, Kathleen Spitzer, Jannelle Rattigan, Jeff Lidicker, Ralph McDaniel, Lynn Humphries
There was a quorum.

There was one guest: Julie Scheff

Minutes from January Meeting:

Debbie made the motion to approve the minutes as corrected for typo errors. Kathleen seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.

Financial Report:

Debbie reported that we have $7,480.00 in our account. Last year at this time, we had $6,111.00.
We had a net profit of $653.00.

Membership:

Debbie reported that we currently have 134 members. 75 are new members.
It was discussed that we post another membership pitch on our Facebook page. Lynn will work on the verbiage.
Jeff will send out an email to members who have not yet renewed.

New Neighbor List:

Vincent will be providing us with a list of people who have recently moved into Hollywood Park.
Jannelle reported that she found a “Welcome to Hollywood Park” letter.

Newsletter:

CommuniTree has requested that they have a regular spot in the newsletter. It would be 2 columns wide, with a photograph, approximately 3-4 inches.
There was discussion regarding printing a disclaimer that HPNA neither sponsors or endorses CommuniTree or their events.

Debbie made the motion to remove their web page from our site. Lynn seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.

Insurance:

Jannelle reported that she contacted the Pocket/Greenhaven Neighborhood Association President regarding their insurance. They use a local company. There was discussion regarding what their policy covers versus what ours covers. We need to find out if we can get a policy that covers the 4th of July Parade, as well as hanging Christmas wreaths, clean up days, etc.
Jannelle will set up a meeting with their insurance Agent.

Open Board Positions:

There was discussions regarding the two open board positions.

Other Business:

Jeff received an email from the City of Sacramento. They are applying for more money to be spent by Caltrans to make our neighborhood more walkable, by having places and/or events that people can walk to within 15 minutes or less. The City is asking for a letter of support from the HPNA.

Jannelle made the motion that Jeff send a letter to the City. Ralph seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.

March Community Meeting:

The next community meeting will be March 17th. There was discussion regarding who to invite. Jay Schenirer will be at the meeting to discuss the new zoning. Debbie will invite someone from the local Fire Department. Perhaps we invite a restaurant owner to the meeting. Lynn and Julie will purchase gift certificates from local restaurants to give away during the meeting.
