OLD BUSINESS

Newsletter:

Ralph reported on the status of the June newsletter. The proofs/galleys that he sent to the board members shows the newsletter to be 11 pages long, which he thinks may be too long. There was discussion regarding shortening a couple of the stories. Ralph indicated that he could possibly make his article a two part story.

There was discussion regarding inserting a membership form into the newsletter. It was decided to just print a comment in the newsletter that would let people know to go to our website if they are interested in joining HPNA.

Ralph reported that National Night Out is August 3rd and that he will post the event in the newsletter, as well as the information that the Centennial Church will be hosting it. Ralph wants to put something in the newsletter to thank all the businesses that donated gift certificates for the community meetings.

There was discussion regarding having a 4th of July decorating contest or a bicycle decorating contest, in which kids could participate.

There was discussion regarding announcing a 4th of July parade. Someone asked if a neighbor can announce something. Kathleen will work on how to announce and/or have a 4th of July parade, for which HPNA is not hosting and is not liable.

It was suggested that we ask the people who attend the June Community meeting what their plans are now that the State of California is opening.
