The meeting was called to order at 6:32PM

Members Present:

Jeff Lidicker, Debbie Keller, Lynn Humphries, Jannelle Rattigan, Ralph McDaniel There was a quorum.

Previous Minutes:

Jeff made the motion to approve the minutes as amended:
Under “Election update”, it should say that the Election Plan was provided and that Lynn made the motion that the Election Plan be approved and that Max will set up the voting system for the December community meeting.
Debbie seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.

Guests:

There was one guest: Molly Castro
Molly is interested in being on the HPNA Board. She introduced herself to the board. She has an Instagram site called HollywoodParkMolly

Financial Report:

Debbie reported that we currently have $6,912.74 in the bank.
Last years balance at this time was $4,609.18.
The Profit and Loss for January 1,2021 thru November 9, 2021 is $141.64.
Profit & Loss for October 10, 2021 thru November 9, 2021 was -$825.62.
The reason that there is a loss for the last month is because of the Grant money that we sent to Claire, Insurance costs and merchandise purchases.
We currently have 173 members
There was discussion regarding printing more envelopes to insert into the December Newsletter.
Lynn made a motion to purchase up to 2,000 remit envelopes , removing date, plus the cost $65.00 for the newsletter printer to insert into the newsletter.
Debbie 2nd the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS:
Newsletter:
Ralph reported that we have several articles for the December newsletter.
He needs to add items to the calendar for CommuiTree with photographs of various events, including Halloween Decorating Contest photographs. Lynn will write a little article about the judging the Halloween decorations. Ralph asked about the possibility

of having an update on the Mural to put in the newsletter. Jay Schenirer’s Office will have something in the newsletter. Kathleen will provide the events calendar.

Holiday Community Meeting:

The Holiday Community meeting will be December 15, 2021.
The Elections will be held during that meeting.
We will have prizes to give away also, which Lynn will try to get donated from various businesses and/or restaurants throughout the Hollywood Park neighborhood.
There was discussion about people sharing their decorations via zoom, as well as having a couple local businesses come to the meeting.
Julie will contact the owner of Two River’s Cider. Molly will look into the Jointed Cue, which just reopened, as well as the owner of the music store on Fruitridge Road.

Swag Report:

There will be a reminder in the newsletter regarding the T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Towels that we are selling.

Approval of $30 for Irene:

There was brief discussion regarding reimbursing $30.00 to Irene for the 3 Hollywood Hardware gift certificates.
Lynn made the motion to reimburse Irene.
Debbie seconded the motion.

The motion carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:
Social Media Team:
Jeff discussed having a social media team, which would focus on what kind of content is ok to post on FaceBook, etc. He suggested that members of that team have a “training meeting”. He suggested that Erin Slavkin and Molly Castro be on the team and do the training. Jeff will set up a meeting, and he will talk with Max about possibly helping with MailChimp.

Candy for Sacramento Fire and Police Department for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas.
Lynn and Debbie will purchase candy for our local Fire Department and Police Department, for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. They will deliver the candy.
Each board member will donate money (approximately $10.00) to purchase the candy.

HPNA Magnets:

It was decided that we will give away the magnet memo clips to the winners of drawings, to the winners of the decorating contests, and to businesses who donate gift certificates.
